What you’ll do

Discover the extraordinary white marble quarries of Carrara on an adventurous 4x4 off-road journey through the three historic quarrying districts of Colonnata, Miseglia and Torano. Travel along rugged mountain roads, steep slopes and tunnels to reach normally inaccessible areas and explore active marble quarries, both open-air and underground. The experience culminates with a visit to the spectacular Marble Cathedral, an immense underground quarry showcasing the monumental beauty of Carrara’s world-renowned marble. Along the way, enjoy a tasting of the renowned Lardo di Colonnata, a traditional local delicacy.
